Academy at Ivy Ridge
Appreciation Letters
|
To the Staff at
the Academy at Ivy Ridge: Thank you so much for the time you are
spending with our son and for the commitment you show in helping him
get through the program. We would especially like to thank our
family rep, Tom Douglas, for his commitment. This can be a
thankless job sometimes because the children and the parents don’t
always show their appreciation. We are very appreciative and
thank you for being honest and not giving up on Mike. To Miss
Heidi, we would like to thank her for helping us to work out our
issues. She has helped tremendously to make us feel comfortable
with the facility and with the family that Mike has chosen. She’s
a wonderful, caring person and makes us feel supported. We would
like to show our appreciation of the Dorm Dads for their strength,
patience and commitment. Even though we don’t have contact with
them, we know they are working hard to help Mike through the
program. Overall, we are very thankful to the program. When
we thought there was nowhere else to turn, fate brought us to the
school. We’re not sure where we would be right now, if it wasn’t
for the school. We don’t even want to think about that.
We’ll rather think about where we will be because of the school.
Thank
you and God bless you all -Diane R. I am a strong, joyful,
compassionate and loving woman! and William R. I am a loving,
caring energetic young man!

Dear
Staff at Ivy Ridge, I’m writing this letter of appreciation to
thank you for being there for our children. When our children
started going down the wrong path and we have exhausted all avenues, it
is comforting to know there are people out there who care what happens
to our children, who works with them 24/7 with one common goal – to get
them back on the right track. If there were more people like you
out there, wouldn’t it be wonderful. I am soon to be a step dad
and my stepson, Andrew, is in the program. I am pleased and
grateful to know that he is being cared for by loving, caring and
compassionate people. You have my full trust and support.
Yours truly - Bill C.

To the staff
and every person that is devoting their time at Ivy Ridge, Thank
you! I entrusted you to care for my son, Andrew H., my baby.
Thank you. The work that you are endeavoring, the hours and hours
of endurance, not giving in, the strength you possess to help
Andy get through – I commend you all for your willingness to stay and
help my child. Kimmy, you are my eyes, ears, arms and heart right
now. I trust you and I am so thankful to have you as my son’s
“Mom” right now. I am so grateful that my son is being cared for
and shown what he needs to do, where he needs to aim -- given a chance
to turn his life around. I know the person that is inside my son
and through this program I know he will be able to find that lost soul
and bring him to the surface so everyone will see the loving, warm,
caring man inside. I thank you with all my heart. The work
you are doing at Ivy Ridge and the demands that are required of you, I
feel all your efforts will be rewarded. Each time a boy or girl
walks out that door after finishing the program to a whole new world
that they wouldn’t have had the chance to see if they did not go
through this program. I commend each and every one of
you!!! To put up with my stubborn, manipulative little angel and
work with him each day is draining and frustrating and I thank
you. My son will find that man that is inside of him, that
wonderful human being from all of your time, effort, work and not
giving up or in. What an awesome position and opportunity you all
have, but not at all an easy one. I thank God that there is a
school and staff that are willing to work with my son and all the other
“little angels.” Thank you all of you for the sacrifices you make
each day to see our children come home whole.
My heart felt appreciation - Barb B. I am a beautiful, courageous, passionate woman!

Dear
Academy at Ivy Ridge Staff, We can not tell you how much we
appreciate your taking care of Joshua the way you do. Ann Morley
and Chris Spicer are ANGELS. We know there are many more but we
don’t know their names. After attending Focus, we feel blessed to
know such a place and people exist.
With heart-felt gratitude - Karen, Paul and Nancy K.

Dear Academy at
Ivy Ridge Staff, “Thank you” are two powerful words which we
would like to express our gratitude toward you. You are
taking care of our precious son, Michael. We acknowledge and are
thankful; for all of the time, energy and commitment you are giving
toward bringing our son to our home. We realize that this is a
massive task and we appreciate the love that you must have to do this
job. We definitely appreciate how you communicate with us.
We look forward to those phone calls. Our family rep, Ms. Kimmy,
is a valuable connection between us and our son.
Again we say thank you! - Kiel and Nadeen

Dear
Ms. Kimmy, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for truly, truly
caring about my “only son” Nick Rowan. From the beginning you
were honest and real – no sweet talk – the truth. Nick and I both
trust you and your intentions. That’s HUGE. What I
appreciate the most is that somehow you found my happy boy who has been
lost for so long. I hear his laugh in his letters now which makes
me laugh out loud. Who would have dreamed it was still
there. Nick’s heart is so true – who he loves, he is passionate
and fierce about – so much like his dear old Dad, but you help him to
see that and find his core again. I also thank you for the care
you give him physically in seeing that his needs are met. You do
it while still making him accountable for meeting his own needs.
How you do that is a bit of a mystery to me, but I am listening and
learning everyday. Your kindness and humor to me is more than I
would know to ask for or hope for. Nick is my heart – he’s my
every beat. His life is indescribably precious to me. The
fact that you care and work and commit your whole self to our world and
our future is amazing! I thank God for you and will always keep
you and yours in my daily prayers. Our life became a struggle and
for some reason then became an all out war. We all suited up for
it. Now we are taking off our armor piece by piece thanks to you
and all the caring intelligent people at Ivy Ridge.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! From my heart - Brenda R.

Dear Kim and
all the rest of the staff at Ivy Ridge, I have entrusted you with
one of the two most valuable people in my life – my younger son
Chris. I want to thank you so very much for caring enough to be
in his life and help us both at this time of crisis. The amount
of love, concern and sensitivity he is being handled with comes through
even long distance; watching for strengths to encourage and weaknesses
to strengthen at all times while helping us both learn the value in
structure, consistency and discipline. I’m sure it is not always
easy to deal with the anger and hurt but staying there until that
becomes happiness and love is the biggest gift you could give to us
all.
Thank you for caring. Love - Susan L.

Dear
Staff at Ivy Ridge, There are really no words that could ever
adequately convey the deep gratitude we have for you. At one of
the most difficult and painful times of our lives, you have come
alongside our family. Your encouragement, kindness and commitment
to us and to Katherine is helping us have hope. Your care for
Katherine, daily interaction with her, your insight and dedication is
seeing her become all God made her to be is, right now, our
lifeline. Our interactions and weekly phone calls at first with
“Ms Heidi” and now with “Miss Kelly” and the supervision of “Miss Lynn”
have been our link to one of our life’s precious treasures – and their
dedication, professionalism, coaching and understanding is invaluable
to our making the necessary changes in our family and to Katherine’s
well-being.
May God bless you, keep you and hold you in the palm of his hand. - Ken and Jane D.

Dear Staff at
Ivy Ridge, As I approach my last day of the Focus seminar, I’d
like to express to all of you the many ways that I feel indebted to you
for taking my son Nick, in your care, and giving him the tools for us
to enter a new life together. Your dedication to having families
reunite is an incredible task, one that you remain steadfast in spite
of the challenges and resistance you must encounter. Please know
that I support you fully, each and every on of you, to achieve this
daunting task. I acknowledge my role that brought Nick to you and
am committed to do whatever it takes that we reach our goals together –
families reunited in a loving, healthy environment.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sincerely - Kathy W.

Dear
Rhonda and Co-Associates, We want to offer our heartfelt
appreciation for the safe compassionate environment that you provide
our daughter and for the patient guidance and support that you give us
weekly. You are a vital link for news of our daughter and we rely
on your insight. Our children have dreams and choices for the
future and parents have both faith and hope as a result of your
efforts. After years of struggling, parents have a new inner
sense of peace. We are free to remain pro-active in the school
program. Together, we will help our daughter to thrive so that
she can enjoy a fulfilling life.
Thank you for all that you do! Sincerely - Ann and Tom T.
| I am happy that I
found the Academy at Ivy Ridge. I never knew that kind of school
existed, especially when I needed to find one. I am so relieved
that there is a school to help me and my child and family to have a
better life. I thank you a lot for helping as much as you did so
far in the process. Thank you for caring for my wonderful
daughter Joanne.
